WORK AND HOLIDAY IN USA
Work and Holiday Program is an exciting new option allowing Australians and New Zealanders to work and travel in the USA for up to 12 months on the new Work and Holiday Visa. Australia is the first country with which the USA has entered into Work and Holiday visa arrangement. You are going to USA for two reasons: · Learn about life · Embark on an exciting personal journey filled with challenge, self –discovery and adventure. International Branch, YMCA of Greater New York is your visa sponsor. You must follow their rules during your program. BENEFITS You’ll be working and living among the ‘locals’ plus meeting other travellers like yourself. There you’ll form close friendships and create new contacts. Pre-placed work - You’ll know where you’re going and what you’ll be doing before you leave Australia. · Start work immediately - There’s no need to wait for your social security number; you can start working at your placement as soon as you arrive in the USA (Please refer to the charges below) · Earn US $$ - Earn US dollars to help finance your travels. · Enhance your CV – After you successfully complete your placement, you are welcome to try any one of the many job opportunities that the US can offer. ELIGIBILITY · A citizen of Australia or New Zealand · Able to provide proof that you are; o A post-secondary student who has completed their first year, o A recent graduate from a post-secondary college/university in Australia/New Zealand within the last 12 months o A Vocational student pursuing studies at a tertiary level accredited educational institution or TAFE · Able to provide 2 written references from people that know you in a professional capacity (This can include teachers, lecturers, coaches, and supervisors) · Purchase an approved Health Insurance (The insurance provides coverage that includes, at a minimum: (1) medical benefits of at least US$50,000 per accident or illness; (2) repatriation of remains in the amount of US$7,500; (3) expenses associated with medical evacuation from the U.S. in the amount of US$10,000; and (4) a deductible not to exceed US$500 per accident or illness). · Able to provide proof of sufficient financial resources (Approx. AUD $ 1500.00) prior to departure in order to support you during your search for employment or between breaks in employment · Able to provide the name, address, telephone number and email address of someone back home that we may contact in the event that contact with you cannot be established at any point
CHARGES

Our online application makes the process an easy one! · Download Application Form and Fax to +61 (0) 2 9264 84 86 What happens next? Your initial application will take approximately only a few minutes to complete. When you send us your application you will be contacted by a consultant from Work n Holiday to explain the next steps: 1. Give you more details about the program (Fact Sheet) 2. Send you the Participant Agreement to sign 3. Send you the Participation Letter to read and learn more about the program 4. Send you the invoice for the first payment After reading and accepting the conditions and when the first payment is made we will send you: 1. Visa Application Forms to fill in (DS-156, DS-157 (when applicable) and DS-158) 2. Participants Manual 3. List of Documents you need to prepare to attach to your visa application 4. The last invoice for the remaining of the amount. When the payment is done, we will issue DS-2019 Form which you will need to submit it with your application at the US Consulate in your city and by then you will be ready to lodge your visa application. You will need to attend an interview at the US consulate as part of the visa process. Please do not purchase your Air Ticket until the visa is granted CANCELATION POLICY · Before issuing DS-2019 Form, Cancellation Fee AUD $250 · After issuing DS-2019 Form, NO refund · In case of Visa Rejection, Admin fee of AUD $250 and the remaining will be refunded.
