An au pair is a foreign-national domestic assistant working for, and living as part of, a host family. Typically, au pairs are young women who take on a share of the family's responsibility for child care as well as some housework, and receive a small monetary allowance for personal use.

The title comes from the French term au pair, meaning "on a par" or "equal to", indicating that the relationship is intended to be one of equals: the au pair is intended to become a member of the family. In the best circumstances, both parties benefit from learning about the other's culture.

Þ     Airport Transfer

The Shuttle Bus will pick you up at the airport and bring you to the entrance of YHA hostel in the heart of Sydney.

Þ    7 Nights of Accommodation

We only work with Australia’s most renowned and quality hostels.
You will spend 7 nights at YHA hostel “YHA Railway Square” situated near to Central Station in the centre of the city.

The most important thing is, of course, to find a suitable family for you! Before you arrive, our Au Pair Coordinator will have matched several interesting families with your profile. You will be given a brief description about these families and the addresses so you can go and meet them face to face at their home. You will have not only the possibility to get to know the parents and the kids, but at the same time to see the area, the house and, of course, your room where you would live in. This makes it much easier to find the right family for you. Once you moved in with your new host family and had your time to settle, you will get closer to them and you will be able to really enjoy your life in Sydney.

You will be working for 30 hours per week, usually Monday to Friday and your weekends are free so you can meet with friends and explore our country's nightlife. You will earn $180 per week with free accommodation and food. If the Au Pair family ask you to work more hours, example on the weekend, then you will earn more. Rewarding job isn’t it?

Besides the wish to find a good family to stay with, you will probably have a lot of questions about Australia, Sydney, our way of life and how to find your way around!
